Improve Energy Efficiency

While damaged or deteriorating windows simply have to be replaced, VISTA Window Film provides an affordable alternative to replacement when your goal is to improve energy efficiency. In fact, the cost for quick, professional installation is about one-tenth the cost of replacement windows.

More importantly. VISTA energy-saving film can also lower your homes cooling costs by 50% by blocking solar heat gain.

Preserve and Protect

If you’ve remodeled, redecorated, or otherwise updated your home, you’ve taken great care in selecting the colors –but UV rays passing through windows can cause colors of nearby surfaces to fade. VISTA Window Film will help preserve the color brilliance of furnishings, fabrics, and carpets as well as help protect the fine woods, antiques and works of art.

VISTA Window Film blocks 99.9% of all ultraviolet rays, which is the highest degree of protection available. For that reason, VISTA is recommended by the Skin Cancer Foundation.

Help The Environment

The challenge of reducing energy consumption is on every homeowner’s mind as rising costs and power shortages make news every day. Reducing your homes energy consumption not only saves you money, it also helps the environment as a Green product.

Many home owners have been informed by their builders as well as the window manufactures that putting window film on dual pane, insulated windows will void their window warranty. THIS IS TRUE, however VISTA’S Gold Warranty Program will provide a comprehensive optional warranty program that allows the consumer to maintain the benefits of their original window manufacturer’s warranty.

EnerLogic® Window Film Has the Power to Reduce Residential HVAC Costs
Value of energy savings from window film is confirmed by independent study

Kingsport, Tennessee -September 12, 2013: Eastman Chemical Company’s EnerLogic® 35 low-e insulating window film provides homeowners with real energy-savings impact that may save significantly on heating and cooling costs. Most residential window films block solar energy and reduce solar heat gain during the summer, but they don’t help reduce heating costs in the winter. With EnerLogic, heat from the sun is reflected away from a home’s windows, reducing the amount of air-conditioning needed to cool a home in the summer. During winter months, radiant heat from heating systems is directed back into the room vs. escaping through windows, reducing energy use and improving comfort.

To validate the energy-efficiency value of EnerLogic, the Hyatt Regency Houston in Texas recently installed the window film in 48 of its hotel rooms, which each contained one window. Energy savings from EnerLogic was determined by monitoring and comparing the energy used in rooms with film versus those without film. Green Generation Solutions, an independent energy solutions company, conducted this energy measurement process continuously for six months. Its results were validated by the local utility company, Centerpoint Energy, as well.

The guestrooms with window film showed a reduction of 23% in cooling energy use and 25% in heating energy use. The hotel will see a full return on its investment (ROI) in 3.6 years. ROI on EnerLogic low-e window film can reach the same level for homeowners, especially with available tax credits and savings on utility bills.

EnerLogic low-e window film adds up to 92% more insulating power to existing residential windows. That means if you have single-pane windows and install EnerLogic film, you get the benefit of double-pane windows at a fraction of the cost of replacement windows. If you have double-pane windows, they will perform as well as triple-pane windows. This creates year-round savings for homeowners.

Eastman has also performed a life cycle assessment (LCA) on its window film operations, completed by Harmony Environmental, an environmental/sustainability consulting firm. An LCA measures the environmental footprint of a product throughout its research, development, manufacture and distribution. Based on this LCA, installing EnerLogic will reduce your environmental footprint by 98% compared to installing replacement windows. Based on the energy savings provided by our window films, in 2012, Eastman’s window film products reduced the global carbon footprint equivalent to taking nearly 16,000 cars off the road!

EnerLogic reduces hot and cold spots throughout your house, and protects home decor, such as artwork, hardwood floors, rugs, curtains and drapes, and furniture, from fading. EnerLogic also helps reduce glare, allowing controlled daylight to enter a home so you and your family can enjoy the view and your favorite TV shows. EnerLogic is available in two tints: a 70% light transmission version, which is nearly invisible on glass, and a 35% product, which adds a light tint to the glass helping cut down on glare.
