It was a pleasure to work with Matt at the majestic century-old Carolina Hotel in Pinehurst. There we faced a unique challenge. While appropriately a 4 diamond hotel, over a hundred years ago when the hotel was built not a lot of consideration was given to making a spectacular view for each and every room. Some rooms faced the loading dock, employee parking lot, and other less then ideal views for Carolina Hotel’s distinguished guests.
What to do to insure the best stay possible at this world class hotel that is a national treasure? Working with the designers at the Carolina Hotel and Toby at SignSpecalist.com several experiments later a unique solution to a unique concern: Individualized frosted glass murals for each view in question. The resulting effect was both subtle and appropriate for such luxury rooms.
Keep in mind this hotel has dozens of various size windows each now needing manufactured specific murals picked by the interior designers for each window. Each window needing a specific mural, in a specific size, at just that location.
Logistic nightmare? Not for Frank, the scheduling manager at Classic Sun Control. Ron and Frank worked with Toby, Kathy, David at SignSpecialist.com to make sure the installation team of George, Jay, Ron, and Todd had what they needed when they needed it. With the hotel partially shut down for seasonal cleaning and maintenance, all involved in this project went to work. In less then 3 days almost a 150 windows now have just what they need to insure a pleasant experience by the guests at the Carolina Hotel.
